Ancient City underwater near Okinawa

In 1995, divers off the coast of Okinawa found what appears to be the ruins of an ancient civilization ("Japan's Underwater Ruins") about 40 feet underwater. Almost nothing is known about what, who, when of this civiliation except that it appears to be a lost civilization that spans Europe, Asia and South America. This is such a recent and unexpected discovery that archaelogical progress in the past 10-years has yet to yield much more.
